If you're an immigrant carrying anxiety, exhaustion, or overwhelm while building a life in Canada, you're not alone. Many who reach out say some version of: "I'm managing... because do I have an option to break down?" You feel you should be handling it yourself, but the worry won't switch off, and it's getting in the way of the life you're working so hard for.

About me:
I'm Joshiya, a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and the founder of iThrive Therapy and Wellness. I began my social work career in 2015 and have been practising psychotherapy in Ontario since 2023, bringing a decade of experience working with individuals, families, and communities. I've had the privilege of working with newcomers, immigrants, and refugees, trauma survivors, and LGBTQ+ clients in community agencies, employee assistance programs, group practice, and private practice.
As a first-generation South Asian immigrant, I'm passionate about supporting other immigrants through a range of issues so they feel less alone, supported, and deeply understood. Outside the therapy room, I'm someone who enjoys deep conversations, travel, and trying new adventures.
